Excellent war-date French photo publication: 'A Paris Sous la Botte des Nazis' ('In Paris Under the Boot of the Nazis'), by Jean Eparvier (Paris: Editions Raymond Schall), 1944. Approx. 200pp. 4to.. A limited edition 1525 published in November, 1944 to celebrate the liberation of Paris. The book is a collection of hundreds of captioned photographs documenting life in the city under German occupation from June, 1940 until the German capitulation in August, 1944. A stunning collection of images, with captions clearly showing the author's grief and anger over the fate of his beloved city. Photographic covers are scuffed in a few places, some pages with short tears, overall very good.
