GOTTHARD HEINRICI - (1886 - 1971) Wehrmacht general during World War II, recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, commander in chief of Army Group Vistula during the Battle of Berlin. A.N.S. 'Heinrici' on the verso of a postcard, 6 x 4.25 in., Germany, March 28, 1968, a handwritten note in English to a 'Mr. Schafer'. The writing is barely legible, though appears to be thanking the recipient for a previous shipment. Signed at the bottom in blue ink. Fine.
