HIROSHI TAMURA - (1894-1962) General in the Imperial Japanese Army and Chief of the Prisoner of War Information Bureau. Convicted of war crimes in 1946 at the Tokyo Tribunal for the mistreatment of prisoners of war. Rare S.P., 3.5 in. x 5.5 in., b/w military pose, signed on the face. Included with a condolence card sent by Tamura in 1947 to the funeral of the late Gen. Itagaki, a former minister of war. Slightly bent, and leftover adhesive on the verso from being mounted, but otherwise fine.
