CARL FINK - (1886-1969) German fighter pilot in World War One, and Air Force commander in World War Two. An amateur photographer, Fink was instrumental in pioneering the Luftwaffe use of aerial photography for surveillance during the interwar period. T.L.S. on personal letterhead, 2p., legal folio, Hildesheim, Germany. Jan. 24, 1962, a letter to a collector describing his military career and achievements. Fink signs the bottom of the second page in blue ink. Fine condition. Included are two photographs of medals that Fink received and mentions in his letter, the versos of each bearing untranslated inscriptions in his hand.
