ALBERT KESSELRING - (1885 - 1960) Field Marshal in the Luftwaffe and at Nuremburg was tried for war crimes. Death sentence commuted due to ill health. War-date typed D.S. adding rank as 'Generalfeldmarshall', 1p. 4to., [n.p.], Jan. 12, 1943 and stamped 'SECRET!' at top, the promotion of Lieutenant and Squadron Capt. Gunther Hannak of Jagdgeschwader 27 to the rank of Oberleutnant. Kesselring approves the promotion at bottom. Also signed by an unidentified 'Generalleutnant und Komandierender General des X Fliegerkorps' who should be Alexander Holle (1898-1978) but whose signature we cannot confirm. Multiple dockets, file holes in left margin.
