ALBERT KESSELRING - (1885 - 1960) Field Marshal in the Luftwaffe and at Nuremburg was tried for war crimes. Death sentence commuted due to ill health. Scarce war-date D.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], May 18, 1940, the award of an Iron Cross, 1st Class to Major Gunther Heinze. Fine condition. Heinze was an officer in Aufklaerungsgruppe 122 flying recon missions during the Battle of Britain.
