U-BOAT SHIPBOARD-MADE PINS - Lot of two decorative pins undoubtedly made aboard a U-boat, each about 3 1/8 in. long, steel construction shaped with a grinder and polished, the hull vents made with a drill press. The larger of the pins is a tie bar, the second a hat pin. Examining the reverse, both show non-commercial welding. A New York museum de-accession. Ex: The War Museum, New York.
