SS CAMP FENCE POST MALLET - Massive camp mallet or fence post hammer used by the Waffen-SS in the field. The complete implement measures 44 in. long overall, the head alone being 11.25 x 7 in. The head is lightly embossed in two places, one a oval circle enclosing SS runes, with another circle containing the letters 'REM'. The number '1936' appears on the opposite side of the head. Lightly used, if at all. Weathered.
