OTTO SCHNIEWIND
(1887 - 1964) Kriegsmarine General Admiral and Knight's Cross recipient, captain of the light cruiser KOLN and commander of the naval invasion of Norway. S.P., showing a seated Schniewind in uniform, prominently wearing his Knight's Cross, tipped to a larger piece of cardstock to a total size of 8 x 11.5 in. Schniewind signs in black ink on the mount beneath the image, adding rank and a dedication to an unidentified individual in German, reading in part: 'In memory of the war days 1941/42...' Some creasing at bottom, else very good. Sold with an unused Willrich photo postcard, showing a chest-up view of the admiral in uniform.
