ERICH RAEDER - Commander and Chief of the German Navy (1933 - 1943) who was largely responsible for its expansion. Retired over growing differences with Hitler. Lot of two signed documents in gold eagle-embossed presentation folder, each 10 x 14 in., Berlin, Oct. 12, 1939 and Apr. 7, 1941, both promoting Kapitanleutnant z.V. Friedrich Krein to the rank of Kapitanleutnant (V) and later to Korvettenkapitan. Raeder has signed both at bottom, the latter document also bearing a lithographed signature of Adolf Hitler. Very good.
