ERICH RAEDER - (1876 - 1960) Commander and Chief of the German Navy (1933-1943) who was largely responsible for its expansion. Retired over growing differences with Hitler. Rare A.L.S. 'Uncle Raeder' on the verso of a postcard, Berlin, May 9, 1937 to his friend 'Edmund Schulz'. Regrettably not completely translated due to Raeder's haphazard handwriting, apparently just friendly content, very good. Raeder is rare in holograph material.
