Great war-date T.L.S. on Office of the Commanding General letterhead, 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], Jan. 19, 1944, thanking the recipient for 'congratulating me on my new appointment', almost certainly referencing his December 20, 1944 promotion to General of the Army. Eisenhower signs at the conclusion. Mailing fold, slight offsetting of signature, else very good condition, with transmittal envelope.
