DAVID DRAGUNSKY - (1910 - 1992) Commander of the 55th Guards Tank Brigade of the 3rd Guards Tank Army in World War II, twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union and once awarded the Order of the Red Banner. Good pair of signed FDCs, each commemorating Soviet tank forces, signed at the right in blue ink. Each fine condition, with Jan. 25, 1984 cancels. Born to a large Jewish family, Dragunsky was later designated chairman of Anti-Zionist committee by the KGB, while also being surveilled by the KGB for his Israeli relatives.
