CLAIRE L. CHENNAULT - (1890 - 1958) American Army aviator who established the volunteer-staffed Flying Tigers to fight the Japanese invasion of China. He has also been (unofficially) credited with over 40 'kills'. His blue ink signature 'C.L. Chennault' on a 3.5 x 5 in. slip of paper, signed beneath an affixed newspaper clipping about a 'report on the Chinese situation' he was to give to congressional committees. Paper clip indent, light diagonal fold runs through small part of signature, each mentioned mostly for accuracy. Near fine condition.
