FRANK O'DRISCOLL HUNTER - World War I flying ace with nine kills, later serving as commanding general of the VIII Fighter Command and the First Air Force. Hunter also commanded the all-black 477th Bombardment Group at Freeman Field in Seymour, Indiana when 104 African-American were subjected to military court martial for trying to integrate the base's officer club in early 1945.
