ADOLF HITLER AND HEINRICH HIMMLER NAME THE 93.SS-STANDARTE ''KOBLENZ'' - HEINRICH HIMMLER (1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremberg. Fine content T.L.S. on his 'Der Reichsfuhrer-SS' letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, March, 1938 to ADOLF HITLER. In part: '...I ask, the 93rd SS-Standarte be issued a standard on the occasion of this year's Reichs Party Day. The standard will bear the name 'Koblenz'...' At bottom, Himmler adds a few lines indicating the date of Hitler's approval, Apr. 8, 1938. To the right of that entry, Hitler adds his own signature in purple ink. One fold, else fine condition. Documents of any kind signed by both Hitler and Himmler are scarce - those with better content are much more difficult to locate.
