Bidspirit auction | HIROSHIMA HEAT-FUSED STONE BLOCK
HIROSHIMA HEAT-FUSED STONE BLOCK - A chilling 7.5” x 5.5” x 3.75” conglomeration of fused concrete, glass, brass, and iron, formed via the intense heat generated by the atomic bomb ”Little Boy” dropped from the Enola Gay on Aug. 6, 1945. This conglomeration was harvested from the remains of a house in one of the villages near Hiroshima's suburbs; the man from whom our consigner had received the item had lost his aunt in the blast, and took this piece from the remains of her residence. From our long-time consigner of Hiroshima relics with indisputable reputation.
