The 7 x 10 inch order reads, in part: ”...the occasion of the surrender of JAPAN�marks the end of nearly 4 years of bitter fighting. Success attended their first treacherous attacks�fighting in the most trying conditions of climate and terrain, the forces engaged refused to be daunted�they never lost faith in their success�Now the enemy has forestalled his own destruction by a timely surrender�the Council send this expression of admiration and gratitude�the many who have given their lives in the struggle against evil�they rejoice at the prospect of the early liberation of those who have bravely endured the cruelties and hardships of Japanese captivity�” Fine condition.
