Nathan Oliveira was an American painter, printmaker, and sculptor, born in Oakland, California to immigrant Portuguese parents. Oliveira adopted a painting process similar to the abstract expressionists, applying pigment to his canvases and working almost at random until an image began to assert itself. 22.75 x 16.75 inches with mat; 17 x 11.25 inches paper.
