Lawren Harris, Attributed: Shoreline Study - Lawren Harris (Canadian, 1885-1970) Attributed: Shoreline Study. Oil on wood panel. Signed lower right, framed. Lawren Stewart Harris CC was a Canadian painter. He was born in Brantford, Ontario, and is best known as a member of the Group of Seven who pioneered a distinctly Canadian painting style in the early twentieth century. A. Y. Jackson has been quoted as saying that Harris provided the stimulus for the Group of Seven. 13.75 x 17 inches (35 x 43.2 cm) Framed; 9.25 x 12.75 panel. Private colletion, Canada.
