Born in Paris 1976, Alexone Dizac discovered graffiti in the early 90′s, writing under the name Oedipus. In 2000 he developed his techniques on paper and canvas, while continuing to explore urban areas with his lettering style and surreal characters. His work is now known around the world and he is seen as one of the most important street artists of his generation. Daring and dynamic, Street Art has roots in a controversial past. Long-considered vandalism, it was during the 1970s and 1980s that artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring revolutionized the aesthetic, bringing their individual styles to a fine art audience and leading the way for the next generation of artists that includes the likes of Barry McGee, Invader, Mr. Brainwash, Banksy, and Brazilian twins Os Gemeos.
