Giuseppe Capogrossi Attr.: Abstract Composition in Red - Giuseppe Capogrossi (1900-1972) Attributed: Abstract Composition in Red and Black, colored pencil on off-white drawing paper. Signed and dated '59, unframed. 13 x 14.75 inches paper Ex-collection Maurice Gaillard, Switzerland. Presumably acquired by the former from his friend, Fausto Pirandello (Rome), who was associated with the artist. Thence, by descent to Mr. Gaillard's nephew, now deceased, and then to Mr. Gaillard's great nephew, the former owner. Acquired from the above by a private collector in Italy. Good condition; several tiny holes along extreme outer edges with slight rust spots, small hinge remnants to verso from previous framing.
