According to the documentation accompanying this lot, this print was originally etched by Derain in 1934 as a commission from Ambroise Vollard. In 1951 it was published with the assistance of Colonel Daniel Sickles. Andre Derain was a French artist, painter, sculptor and co-founder of Fauvism with Henri Matisse. 23x19 inches framed; 11.5x9.5 inches plate. The artist. Galerie Lecomte c 1960.
