Robert Bauer: Still Life with Lemon - Robert Bauer (Austria/ America, 1892-1957): Still Life with Lemon. Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Robert Bauer was a commercial artist with a concentration in landscapes and portraits. He ran Bauer Art Service in New York. He work was used in a poster to promote the buying of US war bonds for WWII. It was also used to raise money for the China Emergency Relief Committee in 1941. A photo of the artist is shown in this listing, but is not included in the sale. 24 x 20 inches canvas; 28 x 24 inches framed. Good condition, minor surface grime, no damage of note.
