Palmer's Auction Co - Were honored and saddened to be handling the Estate of Mr. Stanley Covert. Mr. Covert was Born in 1936 and Operated the Am-Pm Convivence Store in Watkins Glen, NY. Which sparked his passion for collecting long before Petroliana was as in Vogue as it is now. Over the last 12 years I had the Pleasure of knowing Mr. Stanley personally. He was a humble and pleasant person, and even when he was sick id stop anytime I traveled by. He would stay inside and we would sit and trade "Pickin" Stories via the back Porch for a half hour or so then id be on my way. Years ago when he was in better Health he would occasionally even sell me a thing or two for my Personal Collection. Which was and is an Honor as I Don't think he was prone to letting much loose. Our staff's worked hard to showcase Mr. Stanley's Collection and it's a Pleasure to bring it to Market to be enjoyed by others. He Started his Collection so Early on, it showcases some VERY RARE early items. Including a N.O.S Kemper Thomas Ford Sign from the 1930's and a Golden Flo 2 Gallon of which only 3 are known to exist. This being number 3.
